cancer guide services

I am with you as companion, as cancer guide, during segments of your journey. You can come to me to discuss your reactions to cancer: your fears, wonderings, hopes, intuitions, challenges, dreams. I can be present for you as you experience whatever is here to experience. A multitude of resources exists for you to have all the support in the world you could ever need. What are you now doing to nourish your body, your mind, your spirit? Are you open to new ways to take care of yourself?

For many of us, cancer is a terrifying and unexpected journey, and I believe there is no need to journey alone. My heart welcomes you.

These are some of the ways in which you might choose to be supported:

  • locating holistic resources – books, web sites, practitioners, CD’s/DVD’s, inner wisdom
  • support in deciding how you would like to incorporate body-mind-spirit into your healing journey
  • learning the meditation practice of self-Samyama
  • psychotherapy as you face the various challenges of your initiation with cancer
  • body-mind skills support groups
  • caregiver support – holistic stress management & organizing approaches to strengthen caregivers (click here for more caregiver information)

There are many practices you could incorporate in your life to nurture your whole self. Together, we can explore these possibilities before, during, or after completion of treatments or surgery. We can find what path feels right  to you.

I do a lot of this work by telephone.  There are individual sessions, group tele-classes, and tele-support groups.

In choosing to schedule a one-on-one appointment, you may find that one session is all you need. You might choose to do a few sessions, or ongoing sessions may be the work that supports you. For some individuals, the ongoing support of a group may be your best choice.
